Guests of Villa Bellissima tend to return year after year. The villa is a newly restored 300-year old farmhouse that has been lovingly updated with modern conveniences. Set on a hill overseeing a picturesque valley halfway between Rome and Florence, with extensive views over the Umbrian countryside, Villa Bellissima offers the best of both worlds — an idyllic rural setting, with modern amenities and generous amenities.

Sip a glass of wine from the honesty bar while friends and family play bocce ball or float in the pool. Villa Bellissima is the perfect home away from home in Italy. The villa’s owner happens to be a professional guide and can organize many special services, including car and driver, babysitters, grocery deliveries, massage, cook or chef services, wine tastings and more.

Discover Umbria

Known as the Green Heart of Italy, Umbria is known for its luscious rolling hills, sprinkled with fields of yellow sunflowers, the smoky air of truffles, and soothing sunsets. It is both refined and authentic.

A land of Etruscan and medieval origins, Umbria is steeped in spirituality: the hill town of Assisi, birthplace of St. Francis, is considered the center of the Franciscan monastic movement. Perugia, Umbria's capital, hosts a world famous jazz festival.

Guests of Villa Bellissima are 15-20 minutes from charming Cetona and San Casciano dei Bagni, where you can pamper yourself at some of the best thermal springs in Italy. Visit Montepulciano, Orvieto, Todi, Perugia and Siena.

Villa Bellissima is eight miles from Orvieto, and guests can travel by train to Rome in an hour. There is a quaint small hill village with all shops within hiking distance. Perugia's Buitoni produces thirteen percent of Italy's pasta. It's no surprise, then, that the pasta in this region is delectable, especially the umbricelli, a specialty of Northern Umbria.
