Casa Cau

Rates: Available upon request

An impeccably-designed townhouse in the heart of Rome. Decked out with vintage finds, CasaCau offers secluded and surprisingly peaceful boutique apartments in the centre of Rome in 17th-century building just steps from the Trevi fountain. Guests immediately feel they are staying somewhere special as the space is carefully designed.

Each of the six apartments has its own individual style but all offer modern amenities as well as retro elements. CasaCau combines vintage furniture, antique typewriters, Turkish baths with docking stations for iPads, WiFi and other technological amenities.

Helpful and well-informed hosts have curated the seriously alla moda Sixties-inspired crash pads, of the kind flamboyant Italian fashion dames Anna Dello Russo or Anna Piaggi would approve of, using dramatic fresco-printed headboards, era-spanning art prints, a sprinkling of antique trinkets, and turquoise and tangerine-hued mid-century modern kitchenettes for self-catering flexibility.

An Introduction from the owner of Casa Cau, a Luxury Townhouse in Rome

How would you describe Casa Cau?

CasaCau is a collection of six luxury serviced apartment rentals offering the best of both worlds: the privacy and space of your own apartment to enjoy longer stays, with services on your doorstep, like in a hotel. Individually decorated with handpicked furniture and artworks, they are within in a historical townhouse from the 1600’s in the centre of Rome,. The vacation apartments are just steps away from the Trevi Fountain. They are a truly a quiet refuge in such a busy location.

What was the idea behind Casa Cau?

We wanted to open up a small hotel that would enable guests to visit Rome, stay in a superb location but at the same time feel like they are in the comfort of their own home-away-from-home. CasaCau combines this feeling of a serviced apartment rental with all the additional amenities and services of a luxury hotel.

To get a feeling of the real Rome, guests might need four or five days at a minimum. Most guests usually stay that long, if not longer. The minimum stay at CasaCau is two nights on weekends.
