Villa La Riera is located just outside Begur. This famous stretch of coastline has 20 kilometers of lovely inlets to explore in an area that offers great natural beauty, with many ancient walled towns and hilltop villages. Sa Riera beach, a sandy beach with several small restaurants, is just down the hill (500 meters) and can be accessed by car (or by a steep flight of 330 steps if you are very fit and energetic). Nestled in a peaceful setting among the pines on a hillside above the beach, this stylish house is built on two levels. Although technically the house can sleep six adults plus two children, we don’t recommend it for more than four adults and two children. The house is 20 years old and has been recently renovated, with much thought given to comfort and style. Wide terraces offer beautiful sea views and are a perfect setting for breakfast in the sun. Beautiful plantings tumble down the hillside to the sea. The owner, who lives in a house below (accessed by a lower road) is an excellent cook and is available on request to prepare meals. The historic hillside town of Begur offers a wide range of cultural and sporting activities, as well as excellent restaurants and wines. Sights of interest include the Botanical Garden at Cap Roig Castle, Aiguablava, the Dali Museum in Cadaques, and Figueres (birthplace of Dali) which has a spectacular museum. Girona is about 40 minutes away. Golf courses are close by, as well as many water sports. Parking is available on the road, just opposite the villa. Please be aware that during peak season, there may be some traffic noise for an hour or so in the evening as people are leaving the beach. Features:
