Can Arnau is set on a hill in the beautiful countryside just five minutes from medieval Girona. Built on the site of a Roman villa, the location is secluded yet also convenient for exploring. The ancient walled city of Girona is 10 minutes away, with numerous shops and restaurants as well as its fabled old town and impressive cathedral. Barcelona is a one-hour drive, the beaches are 35 minutes, and skiing in the Pyrénées is two hours away. Can Arnau is perfectly situated for exploring the many attractions of Catalonia.

This luxury country house was purchased by the current owners in 2002, who spent five years restoring it, taking great care to maintain the classic stone and timber features of a Catalan masia and combining it with high-tech steel and modern appliances. Can Arnau offers all of the charm of a historic property, balanced with contemporary convenience and elegance.

A river runs through the estate, with 150 yards of exclusive fishing frontage. Fishing tackle is provided, as well as mountain bikes for exploring the Catalan countryside. A golf course is five minutes from the house.
