Casa Chill was so-named because the owner wanted it to be an ideal place to "chill out." This five-year-old house is located on the Punta de la Mona peninsula, overlooking the village of La Herradura, halfway between Nerja and Almunecar. It is a ten-minute walk from the house down to the village, where you will find shops and restaurants, a coffee bar, bakery and supermarket. Casa Chill is private and rustic, with a colorful, warm, artistic décor — and great views from every room in the house. It is accessible and ideally placed for exploring one of the most fascinating regions of Spain.

Day trips to Nerja, Almunicar and Frigiliana will give you a real flavor of Andalucia. Almunecar, a charming combination of Phoenician, Moorish and Roman influences, has great markets and shops for treasure hunting. Scholars will enjoy the museum that details the Roman ruins in the area. Nearby Nerja has enormous caves complete with prehistoric paintings and a stalactite-embroidered concert hall. Granada is an easy daytrip. Ronda is about three hours away by car, and Seville and Cordoba are closer to four.

The beach is wide and there are many restaurants and tapas bars along the beach road. There is a marina where boats can be rented by the day. Children will be enchanted with the water park, while adults will enjoy the botanical gardens.
