Ronda is one of the most popular tourist spots in Southern Spain. The architecture and history of this city reveal its Moorish heritage throughout the city streets and in its squares. It has one of the oldest bull rings in Spain-now used only once a year in September for the Goyesco bullfight and its colorful fair-and its museum documents the history of bullfighting for those curious about Spain's most celebrated sport. Antique stores abound for those who like searching for treasures reminiscent of the past. The pedestrian walkways teem with people sharing the joys of the city, and stopping at tapas bars is as natural as stopping at a café for a cup of coffee or tea. Further afield is Ubrique, the leather center of Spain and where many of the items sold by Burberry and Mulberry are manufactured. Arcos and Jerez de la Frontera are not far. The coast and fabled Marbella are about 1 ˝ hour's drive away. Train service to Ronda is excellent, and it is possible to get from there to Madrid, Granada, Seville and Algeciras in good time.

The two houses that are offered here belong to a family who has also restored a large "finca" or farmhouse. This large house with its own large pool separates the two houses. The owners are very willing to share their incredible expertise about the area with you to help make your stay pleasant.

La Cancela (sleeps 4) is decorated with exquisite taste, the house has a large open plan living/dining room and a complete kitchen with oven, microwave, and washing machine. There are two good-sized bedrooms with ensuite bathrooms with shower. One room has a queen-sized double bed, the other twin beds. There are overhead fans in each room and electric heating and blankets for the cooler months. The owners have provided a music system and TV and video machine. The pool is set in its own attractive and well-planted garden. There is a covered terrace with a BBQ for al fresco dining.

Los Olivos (sleeps 6) has three bedrooms with ensuite bathrooms and also its own swimming pool with its own pool house with barbeque and a covered patio for al fresco dining. This house is equipped similarly to the La Cancela but with three bedrooms, one with queen-sized bed and two with twins. Two of the bedrooms have ensuite bathrooms with shower and the third an ensuite bathroom with tub. The houses can be rented separately or together for a group that wants to be in the same area but does not require being together all the time.
