This beautiful, historic property has been in the owner’s family for more than four centuries. It was totally restored in 2007 and will be available to rent beginning May, 2008. The setting is tranquil, bordered by a large park on one side and a golf course on the other. The lovely town of Peschiera del Garda, with shops and restaurants, is just three kilometers away. With clear, clean water, sunny beaches and mild climate, Lake Garda has been a favored spot since Roman times, lauded by poets and writers. There are many interesting little towns to explore along the coast and up in the hills. The property consists of two main parts — the villa of the owner, which is not for rent, and the courtyard, which has been converted into 15 beautiful apartments that can be rented with Casa Verde to accommodate large groups of family or friends in an elegant and comfortable setting. Casa Verde is located just outside of the old courtyard, with its own independent entrance and private garden. It was renovated to maintain its original character and personally furnished by the owner to give guests a unique experience of times past. Yet the villa is equipped with modern comforts and is fully air-conditioned. Each room has its own charm, with antique furniture and ancient prints and paintings, all designed to give you the feeling of living in your own house. Amenities: satellite TV/DVD, CD/stero, high-speed Internet connection, telephone. In the garden surrounding the courtyard is a long, narrow swimming pool (5 x 16 meters), surrounded by comfortable deck chairs. The pool is shared among all the guests of the property. Guests at Casa Verde have access to the services of the Golf Club. A private passage solely for guests of the estate leads to the Club House. This 18-hole championship course winds along the hills of the Lake Garda region, with striking views of Monte Baldo and of the lake. Facilities include a sports center with soccer fields, tennis courts, basketball courts, volleyball, a semi-Olympic swimming pool, a children’s swimming pool, and a Wellness Center. Large groups of various sizes and configurations can be happily accommodated by renting one or more of the apartments on the estate together with Casa Verde. There are one, two and three-bedroom apartments with an equal number of bathrooms. All have living rooms with sofabeds to sleep two additional guests, and kitchenettes, some with dishwasher.
