Poggio del Vento sits atop a hill surrounded by ten acres of landscaped grounds. This deluxe country villa is located just a short distance from the beautiful town of Orvieto, famous for its Gothic cathedral, considered by many to be the best in Italy. All of the sights of Umbria, Southern Tuscany, and upper Lazio are within easy daytrip distance, including Cortona, Todi, Perugia, Siena, Viterbo, Montelpulciano, and Pienza. On days when you don't wish to drive, you can take a train to Rome or to Florence. This beautifully appointed house offers modern conveniences with the charm of traditional elements like hand-hewn beams and tiled floors. The house is all on one level. A comfortably furnished living room with a fireplace leads to an alcove with a radio/CD player. A lovely dining area seats eight comfortably. The spacious country kitchen is exceptionally well-equipped and has a dishwasher and fireplace. There are four lovely bedrooms, each with an adjacent bathroom (one with shower only), making this a perfect house for three couples, a family, or seven adults.
