Canto della Collina is a country retreat that has been restored by Tuscan and Umbrian artisans to an exquisite mix of traditional rustic style and gracious elegance. Set on a hill overlooking Lake Trasimeno and surrounded by olive and oak trees, the villa faces the lake and its windows frame breathtaking views from each floor. The three-story house, made of local “pietra serena” stone, chestnut wood, has floors of handmade Umbrian tile and the walls are hand painted in natural colours. The property has been renovated with tender loving care, from careful research to construction using authentic materials, and the house combines comfortable country furnishings with beautiful modern bathrooms and attractive finishes.

All bedrooms have their own individual colour scheme and en suite bathrooms. The game room with pool table is an ideal playroom for children. The long mosaic pool with shaded area, and changing room is set into the wide grassy terraces with olive trees below the property with ample space for play. Gather undear the magnificent pergola for al fresco meals with a pizza oven, BBQ, and magical views of Lake Trasimeno, Monte Cetona and Monte Amiata.

The quiet shore of Lake Trasimeno, Italy's fourth largest lake, is a perfect location for exploring Montepulciano, Siena, Arezzo, Cortona, Perugia, Assis, Orvieto, and the many other captivating towns of Umbria and southern Tuscany. From here, one can travel north by rail to Florence (1.5 hours) or south to Rome (1 hour).
