This charming farmhouse is surrounded by 30 acres of private woodland and enjoys fantastic views over the Val d'Orcia. The farmhouse has been restored to maintain the integrity of its rustic interiors, but with modern amenities added. L'Olmo has been featured on the cover of House & Garden and has appeared in many books and magazines.
The location is conveniently central. S. Quirico, Pienza, and Montelpulciano are just 15-20 minutes’ drive. Florence is 1.5 hrs; Siena, Orvieto and Arezzo are an hour away; and Montalcino is just 40 minutes. Leave your car in Chiusi (25 minutes) and take a high-speed Eurostar train to Florence or Rome in a little over an hour. The closest village, Sarteano has supermarkets, groceries, butcher, bakeries, wine shops, and bike rentals. And there are four spas within 20-30 minutes of the villa. A large vine-covered pergola faces the valley and can seat 16 for al fresco dining. The heated swimming pool (12 x 6 meters) overlooks the clay hills of the Val d'Orcia and has a changing room and sheltered picnic area. A second pergola is outfitted with a small fridge, and there is a vegetable garden and orchard with seasonal crops for guests' enjoyment. Inside you will find a living room with fireplace and double doors that open onto the terrace. An indoor dining room opens onto an outdoor dining area, and the small but very well equipped kitchen has a five-burner stove, dishwasher, and ice maker.
