Desiderio offers guests the best of both city and country! Located above the center of Florence, the property is set in a classical Tuscan landscape, surrounded by olive trees. The picturesque village of Settignano is within walking distance (500 meters; 546 yards), and the center of Florence is just six kilometers (3.75 miles) away. The idyllic grounds (3.7 acres) offer a stunning view over Florence.

Accommodations are in three units, each with independent entrance and outdoor spaces to relax or dine al fresco. A well-tended garden provides fresh vegetables and overlooks the countryside and the city of Florence. The buildings were once used to store lemon trees during the winter and the olive crop in the fall. Now they have been converted into beautiful country homes with a perfect balance between modern and traditional furnishings. The owner, a well known interior designer, lives in a separate house on the property. She is fluent in English and French and is happy to help her guests during their stay on her property.

Desiderio 2 and 3 are located in the main house, and Desiderio 1 is an independent little house just a few meters away.

Settignano is a picturesque borgo with spectacular views. From here, you can take a bus into Florence in just 15 minutes. The A-1 highway is a 10-minute drive; with Siena, Lucca, Pisa, Chianti, Grosseto and many other destinations within easy reach.

DESIDERIO 1 (Sleeps 2); 48 sq meters/500 sq ft:

Ground floor

• Living room with fireplace (can not be used to BBQ)
• Kitchenette with microwave and dishwasher; view towards the garden
• Outside area with garden furniture (in front of Unit 2; 15 meters away)
• 14 narrow steps leading down to lower level
  

Lower Level:

• 1 double bedroom with king bed (bed size 180x200cm) with French doors opening onto a courtyard with a view over Florence. (Please note, the courtyard is for the owner's use; guests of Unit 1 have their outside area off the living room on the upper floor.); en suite bathroom with shower.

DESIDERIO 2 (Sleeps 4); 80 sqm; 850 sq ft:

Ground floor main house:

• Spacious living room with TV and fireplace (can not be used to BBQ)
• Fully equipped kitchen with dishwasher and dining area overlooking the patio
• Small laundry/storage room with washing machine and storage
