PECCIOLI San Vincenzo a Torri, Tuscany Sleeps 6 + 1 child
in 3 bedrooms/2 bathrooms, with shared pool What
guests are saying about this villa.... The setting was beautiful
and picturesque on a vineyard in an olive grove. Our setting was so perfect,
we could hardly leave each day to see the hill towns. — DK & RK,

Piccolo Peccioli is located within a two hundred year-old casa
colonica — one of several traditional farmhouses on a large Chianti wine
estate. The small village of San Vincenzo a Torri, just a mile away, offers the
conveniences of a bakery and a grocery store. Montelupo Fiorentino, three miles
away, was an important center for ceramic production during the middle ages and
the Renaissance, and today visitors to the town can explore its intriguing museum-the
Museo Archeologico e della Ceramica. Florence itself is only ten miles away and
can be reached by a public bus from a nearby town. The closest train station is
in Montelupo (6 km). Although it is possible to use public transportation for
some destinations, a car is required at Piccolo Peccioli. Charming
medieval hill towns dot the surrounding landscape-Siena and San Gimignano both
make outstanding day trips. To best appreciate the Chianti scenery, follow the
SS222, or Strada Chiantigiana-the ancient wine road traversing the countryside
between Florence and Siena. The property is also strategically located for forays
to the beach, Lucca, Pisa and the Carrara marble quarries. For the sports-minded,
a swimming pool, a golf course, tennis courts and horseback riding facilities
are all found within easy reach. Occupying half of a traditional
farm cottage, Piccolo Peccioli is built on two floors and enjoys access to a wonderful
covered and furnished terrace with an outstanding view of the hilly countryside,
olive trees and vineyards. Rustic and comfortable antique-style furnishings set
a warm, welcoming tone that is maintained throughout. The sunny living room has
a large fireplace and opens directly onto the terrace. The kitchen is bright and
tidy, with a dishwasher, and there is a full bathroom with shower on this level.
Upstairs are three bedrooms. A queen-bedded room and a
bedroom with twin beds that can be made up separately or together have beautiful
views over the hillside. There is also a twin bedded room and a full bathroom
with tub. Amenitues include TV, clothes washing machine, window screens in the
bedrooms, and parking. A child's bed can be added on request. Pecciolino
occupies the other half of the cottage. Rented together, the two properties are
ideal for two families wishing to travel together with separate living quarters.
La
Casina is on the same estate. The three properties share a large
swimming pool with a beautiful view.
