This elegant and spacious apartment is on the second floor of an ancient country farmhouse, surrounded by gardens, vineyards and the gently rolling hills so typical of Tuscany. The small village of San Vincenzo a Torri, only a mile away, has a bakery and a grocery store. The nearest town, Montelupo, is just 3 miles away. A great advantage of this location that it is only 10 miles to central Florence and a public bus stops at the door! Although it is possible to visit many destinations by bus, a car is required, especially for exploring Tuscany's charming hill towns (Siena, Pisa, Lucca, and San Gimignano) and for savoring meals at the wonderful restaurants of the Chianti Hills. Swimming pool, golf course, tennis courts and horseback riding can be found nearby.

The English-speaking owners live next door in a magnificent villa and will be on hand to welcome you. Their large 550-acre estate produces wine, vin santo, eggs, and olive oil. If you have a chance to see the villa, you will be treated to a glimpse into the past and a fabulous art collection.

Enter the apartment up 18 steps into a hall and the large, airy and inviting living/dining room with working fireplace, sofa, armchairs, and beautiful antique pieces of furniture. The open kitchen is well equipped with an oven, stovetop, dishwasher and refrigerator. The dining area has a round table with chairs. The high ceilings are beamed and the floors are terra cotta. A door leads to the lovely, private interior sun terrace that is furnished with a table and chairs. On the same floor are the three bedrooms. One has an elegant double bed and one has two twin beds. The third bedroom is a single bedroom but it is possible to add an extra bed. On the same floor there are 2 bathrooms, both with WC, sink and bidet. One has a bathtub and a hairdryer and the other has a shower. There is an outside space in the garden with tables and sun chairs that is set aside for guests. The windows of the villa are screened.

Wine is made during late September and early October and could be intrusive at times for the guests, unless they love wine and are interested in seeing the process. The apartment can be rented with Antico Granaio for 7 people because Antico Granaio is in the same building on the same hallway.
