This noble 18th-century residence is set in the countryside outside of Ragusa, where a landscape of carob, olive and almond trees and dry white stone walls contrasts with the atmosphere of the nearby baroque towns of Ragusa-Ibla, Modica and Noto. This cozy farmhouse overlooks a garden of palms and agaves, with colorful bougainvillea tumbling over its walls. Villa Carrubbi is not pretentious or fancy, but offers guests a warm, old-fashioned environment reminiscent of the aristocratic Sicilian lifestyle of times past.

An external staircase leads from the courtyard to the piano nobile, the main living space. A wide panoramic terrace offers views all the way to the sea as it disappears on the horizon and is furnished to make the most of time spent outdoors -- dining under the stars, enjoying the fresh country air, or just daydreaming.

Everything here feels completely authentic -- timbered ceilings, stone floors and old-fashioned furnishings. Enter from the terrace into a large living and dining room. On one side, two parallel doors lead to the kitchen and to a double bedroom with connecting bathroom. On the other side is another double bedroom with a fireplace and private bath. This room can also be accessed directly from the terrace. A further door opens to a single bedroom, which can only be entered through the double bedroom.
