La Carrozza is a lovely small stone house within the estate of a larger villa, Villa Il Pozzo. The two houses may be rented together or independently, since each has independent access to the property. The estate is set along the road to Ispica, known for its archaeological Park of Vaca d'Ispica, and is close to important towns such as Modica, the beautiful Ragusa Ibla, Scicle and Noto, protected as World Heritage Sites by UNESCO for their pretty Sicilian baroque style. A grocery store and a wonderful restaurant serving authentic Sicilian cuisine are conveniently located within walking distance, and a full range of services is available in nearby Modica. The spacious, open living room is literally the center of the house. On one side, a wooden staircase leads up to a loft with a double bedroom; on the other side, there is a large kitchen with a timbered ceiling and Sicilian ceramic stovetop, and an adjacent service bathroom. Another stairway connects the living room with the rest of the house. A few steps down lead to a double room with a beautiful antique bed. A few steps up is the bathroom and a second double room, furnished in a more rustic style, with a wrought iron bed, a wooden ceiling, and exposed stone wall. When La Carrozza is rented alone, guests are not permitted to use the pool and grounds at Villa Il Pozzo, but the house has its own private terrace and garden. Ground floor:
