The Santa Lucia Apartment is located on the Via Giulia, one of Rome's most prestigious streets. Attractions like the Piazza Navona, Campo dei Fiori, Pantheon, and Piazza Farnese are just a few steps away. The neighborhood is elegant yet full of character, with many fine restaurants, family trattoria, shops, and coffee bars.

The apartment offers exquisite furnishings, a quiet location, light-filled rooms, and a lovely terrace. Santa Lucia is extremely well-equipped. However, the building does not have an elevator and guests must climb 68 steps to reach the apartment. The owner will greet you when you arrive, and there will be someone to help with your luggage when you check in and also when you depart.

Once you arrive and catch your breath, the apartment is absolutely lovely. An entry hall leads to a spacious living room with comfortable furniture, satellite TV with DVD, and stereo/CD player. The room is bordered all the way around the top with a lovely frescoed frieze. Artwork and prints in the apartment are delightful, all with an equestrian theme, and a decorative fireplace, surrounded by painted tiles, adds to the charm. A separate dining room has its own decorative fireplace, surrounded by pretty majolica tiles. The kitchen is small but well equipped and has a dishwasher and washing machine. The bedroom has an indivisible matrimonial bed, en-suite bath with shower over tub, and a balcony. The flat is fully air-conditioned and there is a telephone with which to connect a computer on a dial-up basis.

A somewhat awkward wrought iron spiral staircase leads to the terrace, which is not in pristine condition but nevertheless enjoys a wonderful view, from the nearby church of Santa Lucia del Gonfalone to the dome of St. Peter's and the Gianicolo beyond. Plans are under way to transform this level into a second spacious bedroom with en-suite bath and a completely renewed terrace with elegant furnishings. For now, the Santa Lucia is an ideal spot for a couple. When the plans have been completed, it will be perfect for two couples traveling together.
