Emilia-Romagna is home to many exceptional Renaissance palaces, as well as some of the best food in Italy. Lasagna, tortellini, Parmesan cheese, and balsamic vinegar are just a few of many examples of the region's rich culinary tradition. Faenza, famous for ceramics, is 30 km away. Brisighella, the focus of an annual medieval festival, is even closer. See the world's finest mosaics outside of Istanbul in Ravenna (50 km), or explore the city of Bologna (75 km). Florence is almost as close.

Located near the southeastern corner of Emilia-Romagna, Villa Emilia is set on a hilltop amid a rolling green landscape bordering the Foresti Casentinesi, a national park that extends into Tuscany. In fact, at one time this property was actually in Tuscany!

Villa Emilia is a classic country house overlooking the quiet little village of Tredozio, which has a number of inviting restaurants to sample, including the Mulino di San Michele, located in an old mill. A 10-minute drive brings you to the village center, where you will find conveniences like grocery shops, bakery, coffee bar, and bus station.

The house is divided into three units (two apartments plus the chapel) that share a swimming pool (10 x 5 m). All of the accommodations have satellite TV, and cell phones are available for guests' use.

EMILIA DOWN: Sleeps 6
This lovely ground floor apartment consists of a comfortable living room with a fireplace, and a kitchen/dining room. The kitchen is outfitted with a dishwasher, microwave, and washing machine. There are three bedrooms. One is a double with en suite bath (tub). The other two bedrooms have two (joinable) twin beds and share a bathroom with shower. Both of the twin rooms have direct access to the garden. There is a telephone in this apartment.

EMILIA UP: Sleeps 6+2
This second floor apartment has a spacious living room with fireplace and a separate dining room. The fully equipped kitchen has a dishwasher and microwave. There are two bedrooms: one double with en suite bath (tub), and one twin (beds can not be joined). Two mezzanine floors have twin-bedded sleeping areas and share a bath (with tub) with the second bedroom. There is also a den with a pullout bed and a utility room with a washing machine. Summer suppers can be prepared in the outdoor pizza oven.

CHAPEL: Sleeps 2
An adjoining chapel has been converted into a self-contained home for two persons. There is a loft with a double bed, and a bathroom with shower. A small kitchen is equipped with a washing machine.

Villa Emilia is located on the same estate as Casa Cristiana and Vista della Valle; the three properties can be rented together for groups of up to 30 guests.
