Just south of Positano, within 10-15 minutes walking distance to the center, The Rocks Villa and La Roccia Apartment occupy the top two floors of a large building above the road. The property is on a steep incline, with 45 small stairs leading up to the entrance. (This is one of the shortest climbs to any of the villas in this area, where the villas hang to the cliffs and are accessed by staircases cut into the rock.) The rooms are huge and there are two very beautiful large terraces on the front that offer spectacular panoramic views of the rocky cliffs, seacoast villages and the Galli Islands. A small swimming pool is shared.

When you can bring yourself to leave the views, you will find that all of the delights of the Amalfi area are nearby, including Salerno, Sorrento (13 km), Amalfi, and Ravello. Take a boat or a hydrofoil to Sorrento or the romantic Isles of Capri and Ischia. Explore the ancient sites of Pompeii, Paestum and Herculeum. The area is also known for its wonderful restaurants and shopping. A bus stops 200 meters from the property, so you do not need to have a car in the area if you do not want to drive the curving roads, and in fact, we strongly discourage renting a car in the summer months. Free parking is possible on the road, but the trick is to find parking in this area during high season. Across the street, two hundred steps lead directly down to the community beach below.

The Rocks (sleeps 6) has a huge open-plan living room on the first level, with a fireplace, sofas, and TV. There is a separate dining room and modern kitchen with six gas burners. The floors are white tile, with lovely woolen rugs. In addition, there is a bathroom with shower, bidet, sink and toilet and clothes washer on this level. Upstairs are three air-conditioned bedrooms. The master room has a large double bed and direct access to a wonderful terrace. The middle room has two beds that can be made up together as a queen or separately as twins. The third bedroom has twin beds, with doors opening onto the large terrace, also with spectacular sea view. There is another kitchen on this level that has been carved out of the exposed stone. The bathroom on this level has a tub with shower, bidet, toilet and sink and an unusual and attractive stone wall. The views, convenience to the main street, spaciousness, cleanliness and the terraces are the outstanding features of this house. New, attractive furniture has just been added. Anyone would be delighted to stay here.

La Roccia (sleeps 5) is a separate apartment located on the floor below the villa. It has been built to a high standard. It offers a living room with kitchenette and fireplace, balcony with sea view, two double bedrooms, one single bedroom, and two bathrooms. One bedroom has its own bathroom with Jacuzzi tub and the other bedroom has a balcony with sea view and the bathroom is adjacent to this bedroom. There is a washing machine. In the winter there is heat and in the summer there is air conditioning. Outside is a terrace with umbrella, table and chairs dedicated for the use guests staying at La Roccia.
