Villa Loretta is set above the scenic Amalfi Drive in a secluded and peaceful location, with beautiful views of the village of Positano and the sea. The spacious interiors are elegantly and tastefully furnished, with marble floors, antique furniture and unique object d’art. Just three kilometers from the center of Positano, the house is reached by a wide flight of gently inclined steps (174 steps) from the main road. The stairs lead to a shady woodland path, which brings you to the villa gates. Although the climb to the house is significant, there is a "goods elevator" in which you can send luggage and groceries from the street level to the ground floor of the house.

All of the delights of the Amalfi are nearby, including Salerno, Sorrento, Amalfi, and Ravello. Hydrofoils and boats can be boarded in Positano for the trip to Sorrento or to the romantic Isles of Capri and Ischia. Explore the ancient archaeological sites of Pompeii, Paestum, and Herculeum. Positano is known for its wonderful restaurants and boutiques.

Enter the property onto a delightful sun terrace situated to one side of the house and offering a spectacular panoramic view of the sea. A pretty cane pergola with a marble dining table that seats twelve is set on a slightly raised level and is a most inviting spot for dining al fresco. Enter the main house from the terrace directly onto the second floor, where the bedrooms are located, or by taking an outside covered staircase (17 steps) leading down to a lovely courtyard, partially covered by a vine pergola under which there is a second marble table that seats twelve. Tall trees surround the tranquil courtyard in front of the villa.

On the ground floor of Villa Loretta is a lounge area with a powder room and a spacious living room with comfortable sofas, colorful rugs and an open stone fireplace. French doors open onto the courtyard. A separate dining room faces the courtyard, and there is a fully equipped kitchen with two sinks, two small refrigerators, dishwasher and washing machine. Doors lead directly from the kitchen to the terrace and outdoor dining area.

Four bedrooms are located on the second floor. The master bedroom has a spacious en suite bathroom and a balcony. A twin bedroom has two gondola-style beds, and a spacious single bedroom opens onto the main terrace. The fourth bedroom is a double, with windows overlooking the main terrace. A second bathroom with shower and double sinks is shared by three of the bedrooms.

Additional sleeping space is provided in the annex, accessed from the courtyard. There are four roomy studios (each 35 sq. m.), two of which are occasionally used by the owner, but since each studio has an independent entrance, this is no way interferes with guests’ privacy. Two communicating studios are available to rent with the villa for larger groups. Each has a double bed and en suite bathroom with shower, as well as kitchenette, TV, and outside seating area. The larger studio has a fireplace.

Amenities include washing machine, telephone, satellite TV, and window screens. Private parking is available on Amalfi Drive, 200 meters away, for an additional fee. An English speaking manager is on call to welcome you and answer your questions.

Because of the steep drops and open terraces, Villa Loretta is not suitable for young children.
