This spacious luxury villa is located in the heart of the quiet village of Praiano, between Positano and Amalfi. Villa Agostina has exceptionally beautiful living spaces both indoors and out, making this an ideal setting for large groups of family or friends. The villa is surrounded with flower gardens and terraces lines with potted palm and lemon trees. Furnished with built-in stone benches and garden furniture, the terraces offer a variety of settings for basking in the sun, dining al fresco or relaxing in the shade with a book. Views are glorious — a stunning panorama of the sea and Amalfi coastline.

Villa Agostina is built on three floors, with an independent tower apartment on the roof to sleep additional guests. The second floor (between the main floor and the tower) is reserved for the owner and is not available for guests’ use. The main floor and the lower level are reached by an external staircase located near the entrance gate. A panoramic terrace at the side of the house, with an outdoor living area overlooking the coast, welcomes guests to Villa Agostina

A small supermarket, located within easy walking distance, is well stocked with almost everything you will need. A coffee bar, tourist information center, restaurants, etc. are located approximately 300 yards from the villa. The local mini-shuttle that runs from Praiano to the beach at La Praia and Positano and the SITA bus connecting all the villages of the Amalfi coast stop just by the flight of stairs that lead from the road to the villa.

A pebble beach at La Praia has several excellent restaurants, boat hire service, and a diving school. A charming small beach, Gavitella, can be reached via a footpath (350 steps) or by sea. During the season, a ferry service operates to this beach from the beaches of La Praia and Positano.
At Amalfi and Positano there are ferries and hydrofoils to the other villages along the coast as well as to the islands of Capri and Ischia, and to Naples. It is also possible to rent a boat to explore the coastline and visit the many small grottoes along the coast

From the road, access to the villa is 65 steps down. From the entrance gate, 24 stairs lead to a large terrace with a portico that gives entry to the main floor. All of the rooms on the main floor have 14-foot domed ceilings, terracotta floors, whitewashed walls and direct access to the portico.

Main floor:

An internal flight of 20 stairs leads to the sleeping area on the ground floor.

Ground floor :

• 6 double bedrooms, each with en-suite bathroom with shower; each bedroom has direct access to the garden, which is furnished with sun-chairs and umbrella, coffee tables and a rocking chair. (Three of the bedrooms can be made up as twin bedrooms on request; two of the bedrooms can be joined by a connecting door.)

From the lower level, another exterior flight of 20 stairs leads to a large “infinity” swimming pool (17 x 5.9 meters; open May 3-September 27) facing the sea. The surrounding area is furnished with comfortable lounge chairs, tables and umbrellas, as well as a small bathroom with an outdoor shower and a changing room.

The tower is furnished more simply than the main house and is accessed by an exterior staircase (24 steps).

A staff of two provide daily cleaning and maintenance. One of the housekeepers lives in separate accommodations on the property and will prepare a complimentary continental breakfast for you each morning.
