Casa Ritorno, located above Lesa on the western shore of Lake Maggiore, is a modern house with extraordinary views of the lake and the castle of Angera. The villa is airy, spacious and comfortably furnished; the style is refined and tasteful. The interior design provides open spaces, and large windows offer views over the lake. Floors are parquet, and furnishings include arts and crafts from the owner’s travels, such as an ancient Arab door from Rabat. Although it is possible to walk to a village with shops and restaurants, it is necessary to have a car at this property.

The villa is just one kilometer from Massino Visconti, with shops and restaurants, and just five minutes by car to Lesa, with more services and a fitness center with pool, tennis court, and beach. The entrance to the highway is four kilometers away. Both Arona and Stresa are 10 minutes’ drive, and Lake Orta is 15 minutes. Milan can be reached by car or train in an hour, and Malpensa Airport is 35 minutes away. The closest station is in Lesa (4 km). More frequent trains to Milan and into Switzerland can be found in Arona (4 km) or Stresa (6 km). Ferries depart from Stresa and Arona to the picturesque Borromean islands (Isola Madre, Isola Bella, and Isola dei Pescatori) and the surrounding botanic gardens (Open April 1-October 31).

The area is blessed by a mild climate and an amazing landscape, with many attractions: summer festivals, fine restaurants, romantic lakeside strolls, and quaint little villages and castles to explore. A wide choice of water sports are offered on the shore of the lake and hiking is possible in the Valgrande and Mottarone parks. Facilities for tennis (4 km downhill) and two golf courses (4 km & 6 km) are nearby.

Completely independent and built on two levels, the villa is surrounded by its own private terraced garden (about 1000 square meters). Each terrace is connected by external stone steps. For this reason, the property is not suitable for small children or guests with walking difficulties.

Parking is available just outside the gate. From the entrance, ten steps lead downhill to the villa. The house is built on three floors, but the basement level is used to store the owner’s personal belongings. You enter the house on the upper level, where the railing in the hallway represents a dance and is the work of a famous artist.
