Villa Celeste is located on an extraordinary private estate along the western shore of Lake Como, just three miles from the city of Como. The estate is surrounded by seven acres of gardens and woods. This aristocratic 18th-century villa, together with Lago Sereno, is located located on a quarter-mile gated road, guarded by a quaint gatehouse. During the 19th century, these two residences were restored by a celebrated ballet dancer who, along with other famous artists and musicians of her time, was drawn to the beauty and romantic atmosphere of Lake Como. More recently, the current owners have completely renovated and furnished the villas to offer the finest of modern living combined with a sense of history and wonderful family antiques. Directly across the lake is Villa D'Este, one of the most luxurious hotels in the world. Depending upon availability, guests at Villa Celeste can request access to the hotel's 18-hole golf course in Montorfano. Villa Celeste can accommodate 14 guests in seven luxuriously appointed bedrooms, each with its own marble bathroom and dressing room. The level of service of a deluxe hotel is provided by professional staff (7:30 am-11 pm), including housekeeping, butler and chef services. Ground floor: primary entrance through courtyard Formal entrance hall with staircase and elevator The ground floor of the villa includes an entrance hall from the courtyard with a view of the lake, a music room with a Steinway grand piano that faces the lake and the balcony, a living room with fireplace, a separate dining room (also with fireplace), and a large contemporary kitchen, fully equipped with two dishwashers, three ovens, and a large refrigerator. The entrance hall, music room, living room, and dining room have frescoed ceilings. On the second floor is another living room with a fireplace that faces the lake view, as well as three double bedrooms with king-sized beds, each with its own en suite marble bathroom. Two of the bedrooms have a lake view; the third faces the courtyard. The third floor has its own living room with a lake view. Also located on this floor is a bar/kitchenette, a laundry room with washing machine, and four bedrooms, each with joinable twin beds and en suite marble baths. Two of the bedrooms face the lake; one faces the courtyard. The villa is set in a beautiful natural park and has an open-air pergola that is lit at night and is perfect for al fresco dining. The swimming pool is surrounded by three sun decks, with a panoramic view of Lake Como. The pool is shared with Lago Sereno, but for an additional charge, you can have exclusive use of the pool. Likewise, you can have exclusive use of the grounds, in which case Lago Sereno will not be rented and can be occupied only by the owner, assuring your complete privacy. Villa Celeste offers many options for transportation. Parking is availablein a private underground facility. From the villa's private dock, guests
can use a rental boat or the comfortable water-taxis to visit the Villa D'Este
or the charming villages of Lake Como. A seaplane service is available nearby
for discovery tours of the thrilling alpine lake scenery or to ensure exclusive
commuting in a 2-seat turbine Cessna Caravan seaplane to destinations like Saint
Moritz, Venice, and Capri; a one-hour seaplane tour is provided without charge.
The villa can be rented with Lago Sereno to accommodate up to 22 guests; a separate gate house can be included to sleep up to 26. Children under 8 years are welcome with a nanny or dedicated babysitter.
