Its narrow, winding streets are lined with beautiful houses, shady squares with fountains, wonderful restaurants and elegant boutiques. The beauty of the countryside and quality of light has inspired many artists, writers, and painters. Vincent Van Gogh produced more than 150 paintings of the countryside surrounding St-Rémy. Visit the Roman ruins of Glanum or the beautiful perched village of Les Baux. Avignon is just 30 kilometers away; from there, you can take the TGV and be in Paris in less than three hours! Facilities for horseback riding, hiking, tennis and golf are nearby.
