| This elegant two-bedroom loft is located in the heart of the Latin Quarter, between Paris' oldest bridge, the Pont Neuf, rue de Buci, and the Boulevard Saint Germain. Located on the fourth floor (sorry, no elevator) of a 16th-17th century building, this charming pied-à-terre is filled with sunlight from its many windows and skylights, complemented by an open design floorplan and 12-foot high ceilings.
Nicole is a modern apartment, with touches of 1940s and 50s decorative art. Some of the furniture is custom built, and other pieces came from antique shops in Brussels and Paris — even a lamp hand-carried from Cape Town. Mood lighting in the living room comes from three painted light-boxes by Italian artist Walter Puppo, found in a Brussels gallery. Everything from the exquisite materials and equipment to the subtle color scheme was designed to make guests feel comfortable and at home. There is even an automatic foot massager, the perfect ending for a long day of pounding the Paris pavements!
The apartment is located on a street lined by day with book wholesalers. In the evening, the neighborhood is peaceful and quiet. If you are looking for action, just take a short stroll down to the river or up onto the bustling St-Germain towards Odeon. In between you’ll find one of Paris’ most charming market streets, the rue de Buci, and the rue de Seine, lined with antique shops and art galleries.
