| The Marais is one of the oldest Parisian districts, with a lively mix of charming cafés, restaurants, boutiques, galleries, beautiful squares and designer shops. The 3rd arrondissement is the quieter part of the Marais and is one of the best places to live in Paris, with several open-air markets, a huge covered flea market, and many wonderful specialty food shops. The oldest market in Paris is just around the corner, and the museums here are among the best the city has to offer, including the Picasso, Arts and Crafts, and Carnavalet museums. The closest metro stop is Filles du Calvaire, just a few steps from the apartment.
