Located on the Right Bank, the 11th arrondissement is the birthplace of the French Revolution. The famous Place de la Bastille is nearby, and the area hosts an interesting selection of charming cafés, art galleries, and nightlife. Place de la République, the Marais and Place des Vosges are just five minutes away. The closest metro stops are Oberkampf and Filles du Calvaire.

This bright, sunny house is the vision of an architect who converted an ancient warehouse into a country house in the heart of the city. The house is built on two levels, with a large glass roof topping the main living area and flooding the house with natural light. A huge greenhouse separates the living room from a wonderful tropical garden with a pond. Original brick and woodwork have been preserved and combined with balconies and teak decking to create a haven of calm and light. Each bedroom is independent, making this a great accommodation for four couples or two families with children. The garden serves as a delightful oasis in which everyone can come together to eat or just to relax. Set among the plants and flowers is a table that seats eight comfortably.

The ground floor entrance leads immediately to the garden, where teak decking ushers you around to a small entrance hall with access to the kitchen and eating area. A spacious living room with fireplace and corner dining room has large bay windows that open onto the garden. Also on this level is a double bedroom with a sitting room and French doors opening to the garden, and a full bath (with tub).

A modern staircase dominates the living area and leads to the second floor. There are three bedrooms on this level, each reached by its own staircase. One double bedroom has a claw-foot tub on one corner as well as a sink and independent toilet. A second double bedroom has a balcony, and a third bedroom has a skylight, a balcony overlooking the garden, and bathroom with shower.
