| The 7th arrondissement is home of the Eiffel Tower and is therefore quintessentially Parisian. Many foreign embassies are located here, and despite its many attractions, there is a feeling of peacefulness and open space. This neighborhood of tree-lined boulevards was once the most elegant residential district of Paris. The closest metro station is École Militaire. La Petite Amélie is located in a well-maintained 1860 building with an elevator. The apartment was completely renovated in 2006 and is located in the area of the Gros Caillou, a location that has become increasingly popular as a base for visiting Paris. Just 500 yards from Napoleon's tomb at Les Invalides and half a mile from the Eiffel Tower, you are also quite close to the chic shopping street of St Dominique and just one block from the famous Rue Cler pedestrian market, where Parisians gather to enjoy the restaurants, fresh produce and busy atmosphere of this car-free cobbled street. The front door leads to a brand new gleaming white kitchen, with an oak work surface and marble floor, outfitted with dishwasher, microwave and clothes washer and dryer. The main room has an oak parquet floor and two windows. Furnishings include a sofa bed, double "Murphy" bed, coffee table and dining table with four chairs. There is a stereo and flat-screen TV with cable channels in English. High-speed internet connection is included, as is the telephone for local calls.
