La Plage is the ultimate beach pad! This newly remodeled beachfront studio apartment offers a cozy, intimate, superbly located accommodation with a completely unobstructed view of the beach and Bay of Villefranche. The space has been creatively designed and offers quiet and calm, yet La Plage is situated in the heart of the action. Located right at the beach of Villefranche, La Plage is all about being on the water and enjoying all that beach life has to offer. Shops and conveniences are just a few steps away. If you want to enjoy lunch or dinner on the waterfront, you have a choice of many delicious restaurants. In fact, one of the best restaurants on the quai, very close to La Plage, will happily deliver meals. When you sit at the dining table (with lovely cushioned armchairs and footstools, designed for relaxing and enjoying the view), you have an amazing view from a large picture window (about 7 feet wide). At night, watch the moon rise over the bay and see the waterfront lanterns with their reflection dancing on the sea. La Plage is small (just over 25 square meters, or 250 square feet), but the window and the expansive view makes it feel much larger. The décor is open, airy and bright. Artwork features various local artists, with two important pieces by Nani Eckert, one of Villefranche’s most famous artists. Colors are reminiscent of the sea: turquoise, emerald green, dark and light blue. The apartment is very close to the train station. It is about two flights of stairs to the station (a 3-minute walk). The bus stop is also close by but further than the train station (about a 10-minute walk). La Plage is cleverly outfitted with a very comfortable, high-end, high-quality double "Murphy bed," with bedside reading lights, night stands, and lovely white cotton linens. During the day, this bed folds up in one unit (i.e. it does not bend) and disappears into the wall. A good-sized wardrobe has ample hanging and drawer space, with a special storage area for luggage. There is a desk with good lighting. Just outside the front door is a little stairwell that leads to and overlooks the garden. There is a handy closet here for suitcases, as well as the washing machine. A clothesline, made of wrought iron, hangs off the balcony railing of the front steps. Steps (about 5) lead down from the apartment to the garden, which creates the impression that the garden is another room of the apartment. Features:
