Dear Friend,
Here's a wonderful new way of seeing Florence from Chianti — Introducing "Tramvia," connecting the center of Florence with suburban Scandicci and literally putting Florence on the doorstep of several of our Chianti villas. Now you can have the best of two worlds. Explore Florence's museums and cathedrals and enjoy some of the world's best outdoor shopping; at the end of the day, return home to your villa, where the air is fresh and the breeze is cool and it's easy to unwind. Have a swim before dinner, enjoy sunset on your terrace, or dine beneath the stars.
It couldn’t be easier! Leave your car in the free parking lot, buy a ticket on the platform (less than two euros) and catch the next tram into town. Tramvia runs continuously (every three minutes during peak times) so there’s no need to bother with schedules, and there is service until midnight, so you can even have dinner in Florence.
Italian cities are getting more accessible. Perugia has its adorable mini-metro that takes you up into the old city, and in Cortona, a series of outdoor escalators carries you up to the walled town.
It’s easier than ever to have the best of two worlds!

For those who want to stay right in the city center, we can’t think of a nicer place to hang your hat than the beautiful Santa Croce Apartment. Located in a quiet residential neighborhood within easy walking distance of the city’s major attractions (and with a tourist office conveniently located right next door), the Santa Croce Apartment is remarkable for its private terrace overlooking an inner courtyard and for its magnificent frescoes that will take your breath away when you walk through the front door.
