Chelsea is a wonderful area that has long attracted
writers, artists and other illustrious figures (a house where
Samuel Clemens lived is just around the corner). The streets are alive with upscale shops, galleries, restaurants and
pubs, and here and there among them one finds plaques and other
memorials celebrating highlights of neighborhood history. All
along the Chelsea embankment of the Thames River is one of London's
most popular strolls: Cheyne Walk. On the one side sit Henry VIII's
Chelsea Palace and many other impressive houses and gardens, including
the prominent Chelsea Physic Garden; on the other, a lineup of
colorful houseboats. Also within walking distance are the Chelsea
Antiques Market and two fascinating historical sites—the National
Army Museum and the Royal Hospital. Each May the Hospital plays
host to the Chelsea Flower Show in the beautiful Ranelah Gardens
on its grounds (just down the street). North of the river lies
Sloane Square, a Chelsea hub, home to the historic Holy Trinity
Church and Royal Court Theatre. The walk to Sloane Square is 10
minutes down Kings Road, an ideal place for shopping, restaurants
and coffee bars. Once in Sloan Square, guests will find the underground
to carry them to the theatre district and all of the other of
London's most celebrated attractions.
Located on the second story of a quiet building, this cheerful
London Apartment is comfortably furnished in a traditional style,

more person in a single room. There is a folding cot that can
provide sleeping for an extra child or teenager. There is one

in the neighborhood. One of the top restaurants in London is exactly
across the street.
