If you want to experience a location that is relatively untouched by tourism but still provides access to the popular destinations of Southern Tuscany, Umbria, and northern Lazio, we highly recommend Villa Oliva. Within an hour's drive are famous attractions like Orvieto, Assisi, Todi, and Spoleto. Explore some of Italy's finest gardens, most beautiful lakes, and loveliest and least touristed villages, towns, and small cities. The nearest villages - Otricoli, Magliano Sabina, Orte, and Narni - are undiscovered and completely unspoiled. Yet Villa Oliva is conveniently situated near the junction of two major highways, one leading to Todi, Perugia, Spoleto, and Assisi, and the other to Rome and Florence. Another advantage of this location is that you can take a day off from driving and travel by train from Orte to Rome (40 minutes) or Florence (90 minutes).

At first glance, Villa Oliva looks like a new house; but in reality, it is an old house that has been transformed into an elegant, fully modernized country villa. The house was completely restored in 1999, originally for the owner's personal use rather than a rental, which gives Villa Oliva a nice personal feeling.

Villa Oliva is full of light and offers beautiful views over the Tiber valley. On the upper level, there is a roomy living/dining room with a fireplace, and a well-equipped kitchen with dishwasher. Downstairs, there are four bedrooms. Two have indivisible matrimonial beds and two smalled bedrooms have twin beds. One twin and one double bedroom have en suite baths, while the other double shares a bath with the other twin. All of the bedrooms have ceiling fans. There is also a second living room on this level, with a fireplace, TV, and stereo/CD player. Villa Oliva has amenities like telephone and clothes washer.

Outside, there are terraces and plenty of grounds for outdoor lounging and dining, as well as a lovely pool.

The housekeeper and her husband live in a separate house on the property. Daily cleaning is included, and the housekeeper, who is an excellent cook, is available to prepare meals as well as for other services including laundry and childcare.
