Casa Angelica is a 600-year old stone house located in an ancient Tuscan hilltop village. It offers spectacular views of the sea. Watch the sunrise over the mountains, then return from your day's adventures to see the sun set over the sea.

The charming little town of Pedona, located 5 kilometers (3 miles) steeply uphill from Camaiore on a winding, paved road. Two grocery stores and a wonderful little restaurant (open 6 days/week; dine in or take out) are just a short walk from the house. For a full range of services guests drive down to Camaiore. The location is perfect for trips to the beach (Lido di Camaiore or Forte dei Marmi), as well as the Cararra marble quarries and the famous cliffside villages of the Cinqueterre. Pisa is 30 minutes away and Lucca is 20 minutes. From Lucca, the direct regional train to Florence takes about an hour. Portofino is less than two hours away by car. Although guests are located right in a little village and can walk to the small restaurant, a car is required because there is not frequent public transportation to Camaiore nor to Lucca.

The recently renovated three-story, 1500 square-foot townhouse has many of its original features, such as stone steps and eleven-foot beamed ceilings, yet it has been beautifully modernized. A few steps up from the entrance is a large, well-equipped air-conditioned kitchen with a fireplace and a comfortable living room with a sofabed.

On the upper level are two air-conditioned bedrooms with queen-sized beds and two bathrooms, one with a shower and the other with a Jacuzzi tub.

On the ground floor (street level) there is a study with a single bed, as well as a bathroom with shower and a laundry room. If necessary, an extra bed or a crib can be added on request. The kitchen and upper bedrooms are air conditioned, and cool ocean breezes are sufficient to keep the rest of the house comfortable, even in summer.

Below the house, across a narrow street, is the parking place and a terraced garden. A spacious covered terrace, complete with a summer kitchen that is equipped with a fridge, dishwasher and BBQ, has a table for dining al fresco and a large sun terrace perfect for enjoying the beautiful sunsets. From all areas of the garden there are unobstructed views of the coastline, all the way to Portovenere.

Amenities include screened windows, washer and dryer, iron, hairdryers, safe, satellite TV, DVD player, stereo with CD player, free Internet DSL W-LAN connection, a prepay cellphone, and many guidebooks and maps. Although Casa Angelica does not have a swimming pool., there are beach clubs open to the public available at the nearby beach, many with pools.

For safety reasons, children under ten years of age are not permitted. Casa Angelica is a non-smoking property.
