Here, in the tiny medieval village of San Donato in Poggio, is an enchanting top floor apartment full of the flavor and history of Tuscany. Climb 42 steps from the cobbled streets to a delightful and spacious apartment with views of the village on one side and of the glorious countryside on the other. Experience the art, the culture, history and the magical landscape of Tuscany. San Donato centrally located for daytrips to Florence (30 minutes north), Siena (22 miles south) and the many enchanting hill towns of Tuscany.

A gourmet food shop is located right on your little street, as well as an excellent bakery, a wonderful restaurant and some small village shops. A bank, pharmacy and post office are just a few steps away. Tennis courts are located just outside of town. Although there is bus service in San Donato, the bus runs just a few times a day, so a car is necessary for daytrips.

Ancient beamed ceilings and terra cotta floors add to the charm, as does the huge open fireplace in the living room and the brick wood-burning pizza oven in the kitchen. The eat-in kitchen is spacious and outfitted with a dishwasher. There are three bedrooms — a master bedroom with king-sized bed, a double bedroom, and a single. The loft above the living room also has two large beds, and there is a day bed in the living room. Although the flat can technically sleep more, we feel it is comfortable for a maximum of six adults. There is a full bathroom with double sinks and shower over tub, and a modern half bath. An extra refrigerator is located in a utility room, as well as a washing machine.
