Al Bosco is a beautifully restored stone house in a peaceful setting just three minutes' drive from the tiny village of San Donato in Poggio, halfway between Florence and Siena, in the heart of Chianti. This estate of over 30 acres is mostly natural woodland. The rest is cultivated with olive trees and vineyards, and a stream on the southern edge of the property is stocked with trout during the winter months. Relax under the wisteria-covered pergola or on the covered loggia. Or take a hike in the woods or to a nearby winery.

San Donato is an ideal base for visiting the medieval hill towns of Tuscany, as well as the famous wineries of the Chianti Valley. Charming towns like Castellina in Chianti (15 minutes), Tavernelle in Val di Pesa (20 minutes), and San Gimignano (30 minutes) are nearby, as well as the treasures of Florence (25 minutes) and Siena (30 minutes). In the village of San Donato, within walking distance of Al Bosco, you will find public tennis courts as well as a bakery, coffee bar, restaurant, and a fantastic butcher shop.

The property has more than 4,000 square feet of living space. Most bedrooms have their own private entrances but all of the bedrooms in the main house are connected by interior stairways.
